What is a video photo album?
A video photo album is a carefully selected collection of photographs
that tells a story about a person or group of people. Unlike a photo
album or slide show, the use of background music along with professional
fade and zoom transitions helps convey a mood or desired emotion.
The end result is a personal keepsake to share with family and friends
over and over again.
Will my photos and music be returned in their original condition?
Yes! When your photos are received, a digital media technician will
use a computer scanner to make a digital copy of your photographs.
The technician will also make a digital copy of your selected music
track(s) from your submitted CD to add to the video photo album.
This process does not harm your photographs or music CD in any way
and they will be carefully packaged and returned to you with your finished
video.
How do I select the
best photos and music?
Selecting a group of photos that tell a specific story about a person or
group can seem like a daunting task. For best results the photos
should span a time frame that reflects the special event. Typically,
you will need at least 35-40 photos for 5-6 minutes of final video but
there really is no limit to the length. Similarly,
the music you select should be consistent with the subject of the video
and also convey your desired message or emotion. For more detailed

Can I
add text or captions to my video photo album?
Yes! The worksheet included in the
instruction guide includes
a space for you to tell us what specific text you would like on your
opening screen as well as any captions you may want to add to an
individual photo. We can also scan newspaper articles or other
important documents that relate to the video story line.
Can I add slides, negatives or movie clips to my video photo album?
Yes! Our digital media technicians have the expertise and equipment
to scan slides or negatives in addition to regular photographs. It
is also possible to use clips from movies already on VHS tape.

Why am I unable to
view the sample videos?
There may be several reasons despite our best efforts to make the videos
available from our web site. Start by making sure that you've
downloaded the file for the type of video viewing software you have on
your computer. In most cases, you
must also wait for the entire file to download before it can be viewed.
Depending upon your internet connection this can take extra time.
Finally, the amount of memory and processor speed of your computer affects
whether the video can be viewed. If you are unable to view the
sample videos included on the web site we would be happy to send you a VHS
copy. Simply send us an
e-mail and we will
ship the sample video at no cost or obligation.
